His account got reset to 0. Aragoth (#5 in the world - plays on our server a lot) informed me of this. When I did a search for his name on the ranking system he showed up having only 2,500 points. As of now he has 4121 points.

Don't believe me - check it for yourself.

Perhaps he got caught on a Pistols & Knives server at the wrong time.(usually results in everyone on the server getting their accounts reset)

I have no clue but I too have searched for answers on google and all I can find are some interviews He's had in the past

thing that gets me is that he should still be there because i doubt he tked 10K times or something. do you think he got reset due to knife,shock and pistol servers? I saw him in this board before, i hope he chimes in.

At his peak he reached about 103,000. A bit later after hearing the news from our buddy Aragoth, I verified his account was ...nerfed.

I wish I knew how a BF2 leaderboard player like him could lose so many stat points in the blink of an eye.

just wondering because EA didnt put that rule on their site until after they must have reset him. he was gone weeks ago.

I dont care, but i was interested in seeing if they are really doing this. (reset for being on those servers)

It is NOT a good idea to join a ranked BF2 Server with rules set up for Shock paddles, Knives, and Pistol usage only. We host a ranked BF2 Server and were informed by our hosting company that if any actions related to that were to be initiated, we would lose ranked status. Basically If EA finds a Knife/Pistol ONLY ranked server and take action they do 1 of 2 things: Inform the hosting company and have it shut down OR have the ranked status stripped. Oh and yes... accounts can be reset for anyone found playing on them. The reason being, points are gathered in an unfair manner. Knifing, reviving. We had an unranked profile with this set up and it was not uncommon to get 300+ points in a round being a medic

Being at the top of the leader board means nothing. He is still a good player, while some people that have high scores and high rank are just awful players. To be at the top all you need is time.

As you read the thread you will see that he was one of the most mature people posting. I think he also mentions that he is going back to school or something and won't have much time to play.

here is my take on it...

everyone in the top 10 is a stat padder...
maybe they do not do it all the time...
but at one time of another, they ALL STAT PAD...

Just like in pro sports...
In most pro sports, there is illegal use of performance enhancing drugs...
if one guy uses it, then many have to use it just to keep up...

So its all about "WHO CHEATS THE BEST"
or "WHO EXPLOITS THE BEST"

Thats my guess...
