    BF2 Nights

this mod is completely not what i though it was going to be -- all it does is make the sky look murky -- no real light or shadows just like someone threw a bucket of gray paint at the sky -- oh and another thing the file IS WAY TOO BIG AND TAKES TOO LONG TO INSTALL

the file is the size it is because they have to have all separate maps for each night city.

Get a cable connection and better computer, takes only 20 secs to install unless you have a ancient computer.

I play with a 7800GTX and I could say the mod could use some improvements, the maps are fine, they are definatley night maps. But other elements of the game don't suggest it was made for night combat, for instance the tracers don't light up like they should, and the streetlights don't cast dynamic shadows for the players, in fact they don't cast a shadow for the players at all. I messed with the tracer effects files the other day to see if I could add a dynamic light property to them to light up the ground/walls or whatever it was flying next to improve the enviorment feeling when playing it. It's proving rather difficult but there's a lot of things I havn't tried yet.

It's a work in progress, what do you expect?
