Re: battlefield 2 on high video settings on 6800 gt 256meg card
I use fraps, the stock speeds for the card is 350/1000 right? how did you get yours up to 440 core? my core only overclocks to 410, are you using the 6800 ultra bios or something? and on a 32 player server, my fps doesent really get below 40, but on bigger servers and if theres alot of people around me, thats when the fps drop to like the high 20's like I said, whats weard is even in like the arty strikes and big explosions, the fps stay well over 30, anyway, Iam glad I made this thread, nice to see how our card is working

I get 25-30 when in a firefight, and 40-50 just looking around.
If you have an AGP card, make sure to increase AGP Apurture in your bios to at least 256MB or 512MB.
For some reason, even though the specs are equivelant, a 3000+ Athlon 64 system and an 3000+ XP system have a huge framerate difference, like 30fps. I think it's the integrated memory controller, but that's my opinion.

Umm, you are full of **** unless its a ultra. There is no way to get your memory that high. I dont care who the hell you are, youre not going to 1200 on your memory on a GT. 440 for the core is VERY high also for a GT. Take a pic of your overclocking with it applied. Then go to ake a SS in game with your fps.Originally posted by Solar71i have the PCIE version of the 6800 GT ...

Re: battlefield 2 on high video settings on 6800 gt 256meg card
I can get 1200 memory on mine or close to it, but defently not 440 core, he might just have up'd is voltage to 1.4 or something, I was just playing in a 64man server, fps droped to 15-25 alot of the game, iam really ****ed now, lol, I would think a 6800 gt could run high fine, come to think of it, my old 6800 could do just as good as this, looks like the gt is a waste of money

I have 6800 gt AGP and run it on high settings though rez is 1024 w/anti alias. 3.2 ghz northwood and I end up getting nothing less thatn 60 fps.
Anyone have an unlocked version of fraps? Cool little app but I was curious how big the files would be compressed when one is using the licensed version.

Well you are probably getting bad FPS cause your card is getting to damned hot. 1200 for memory is high.Originally posted by GabeI can get 1200 memory on mine or close to it, but defently not 440 core, he might just have up'd is voltage to 1.4 or something, I was just playing in a 64man server, fps droped to 15-25 alot of the game, iam really ****ed now, lol, I would think a 6800 gt could run high fine, come to think of it, my old 6800 could do just as good as this, looks like the gt is a waste of money

Re: battlefield 2 on high video settings on 6800 gt 256meg card
When i got my card, i DL'ed a registry file...
I installed it... And now in my video control panel i have 2 slider bars that go back and forth... I can set my core MUCH higher then 440 and the memory can go MUCH higher then 1200... But whenever i set my core or memory , it always wants to "TEST" it first... So it runs the card through the test... Once its done, it will tell me, OK or NOT OK...
So far, up to 440/1200 it always passes the test... and works without any problems...
PS : I have 7 fans in my CASE... Also on the card, i have thermal glue holding little copper heatsinks to the fins... IT helps remove heat... ALSO!!! after i come out of a game i can see my temperatures on the card... about 78-80C so YES it gets very hot... Once im out of the game for a while the card will come back down to about 56-58C
The card i have ... Hmmm i dont know... I have to look at the box to see exactly which card i got... Im at work right now , i can find out tonight at home...
Also dont forget, the PCIE cards might be running cooler then the AGP cards...
But im telling you the truth...
But whatever... bla bla i dont care if you dont believe...
