When browsing the servers, i can see lots of them but only 3/4 (generally 4) and all with same representation (can't remenber which), is that related to my BF2 version/ patch installed?

most likely it is, make sure u have the 1.02 patch not the 1.01, other than that im not sure. if that dosent work reinstall. -

no no no. you have to have the 1.2 patch to play online most servers are updated to that, download that and ull b a ok. YOU only need to install the 1.02 no 1.1Comment

You were only seeing those servers because you have an option checked at the top corner of the browser that says current version only. So like ^he said, they are the only servers that havn't updated to the latest patch. The fact of the matter is you should always update cause they do more good than harm.Comment
