i believe this was fixed in in patch 1.02...

I think he means the sanity check memmory error message that happens, EA have put it down to not having the uptodate SATA drivers for your harddrives in place. In my case a reinstall of BF2 fixed the problem, after all i installed the SATA drivers that came with my motherboard and kept them updated but still got that Sanity check thing happen even though BF2 had been playing fine since day one.

I don't think its a problem with the SATA. I overclocked my memory too high and it gave me that message? I clocked it down again and the problem was solved, and i had 1.02 installed.
