Another Crashing Problem

After spending the day yesterday reinstalling Windows XP a couple of times I finally got my computer up and running today. I have:
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Newcastle
Corsair XMS 2 X 512MB
ATI X800Pro with latest ATI drivers
Audigy 2ZS Gamers Edition

The only other things I have installed on my computer is ZoneAlarm and PC Cillin, Teamspeak, and MSN Messenger. Of course I turn off ZoneAlarm and PC Cillin while I'm playing. I put the graphics on Medium and Sound on Hardware/High.

After about 40 minutes on playing the screen freezes up, then about 10 seconds later it goes black. Then about 10 seconds later the screen just goes to garbage with a crap load of horizontal rectangles all different colors, kinda looks like some screwed up artwork. This happened just like this before I reinstalled XP, my main reason to reinstall Windows. Before I couldn't Ctrl-Alt-Del but this time I managed to and the computer went to the desktop but took a few minutes to be responsive. This first screenshot is what my desktop looked like after I was able to close BF2.



Now this one is what happened after I tried to change the screen resolution back to what it normally is.



I finally got the computer to restart and when it finally loaded back up, the resolution was at 1152X864 instead of 1280X1024, but I was able to change it to 1280X1024. I don't have any virii or ad/spyware. All of the ports are opened via the router. Windows firewall is disabled. I have a custom watercooling set up and the GPU temp never goes over 45C.

Then I found this in the Event Viewer:

Next I tried the Omega drivers, used the Driver Cleaner tool and removed my sound card. I went and played for about 30 minutes and then the same thing happened again. I played longer and while I was playing, there wasn't any lag, actually quite nice. I checked the Event Viewer again and it had the same exact message as before with the ATI drivers.

What about chipset drivers?

Have you installed the latest from the website of the manufacturer of chipset?? (or motherboard)

All drivers are up to date, even the bios.

Now I just tried to play with all the video settings on low and it lasted 36minutes before it froze up again. This time I didn't get a logged event in the Event Viewer. This is ****ing pathetic.

Well this time I had all the video settings on high and I lasted 40 minutes before another weird problem happened. This time everything froze for a few seconds, then the screen went blank, but I could still play. I could shoot and switch weapons and jump, I could hear it. So it can't be a driver problem if I last about the same amount of time with high setting or low settings. So is it the video card that's gone bad? How do I check?
