Fire wont set it off, neither will shooting it or anything like that. It needs a significant electrical shock or a blasting cap to ignite it. If you set it on fire it just burns, really hot too... its great for heating coffee in the field.

As far as this post goes, nothing the original poster seems to make this game any more real. Since when did the designers ever claim this was a game about realism? The quasi-realism is what makes this game fun. If it was real, there would be no respawn...

Throw a knife? Desert eagles? oh please...

      Re: Realism VS Gameplay?

weakening the BH guns isnt realistc, but they have infinite ammo, which, a hawk thats carrying other people sides crew chief/gunner/pilots, a minigun thats running 2000 rounds a minute eats .308 like popcorn

itd be nice to see the .50 mg's on china/mec choppers do more damage, after all, .50 hurts

and maybe stick the m240 on the BH, thats what their goin to from the m60, miniguns for the most part are impractical if you want realism, and very few units world wide use them, the only ones youll see in the US are as follows

      Campbell Kentucky
      Hurlburt Air Field Florida
      Hunter Army Airfield Georgia

and a few that work off Navy Ships

so the BH miniguns in Mashtuur are unrealistic
but in Daqing/Dragon Valley/Dalian/Gulf of Oman may be possible(depending on mission

and yes amtrak, C4 is good for heating coffee lol
      HBX is not
