    Helis and jets

Well i just started playing bf2 all the time cause i got my upgrade this week and i notice that helis and jets are a definite advantage and i notice many people cannot pilot them properly(including me). Well i just actually started playing because before my pc couldn't handle it and now i can play everything on high except lighting and textures. but anywho post here on tips on how to be a good pilot.

It isn't that hard to pilot them.

I'm sad that it's hard to fly planes with a mouse, because I don't want to learn to use a joystick.

I find that helicopters seem to fly better with a mouse though, at least in terms of maneuverability. They're not really that different from DC except that they seem to have properties of something that has mass, which is good

practise in single player mode before going public!!! On takeoff hold down accelerate button and counter any leaning. Helis are all about keeping the thing balanced horizontal. Nose up you go back, nose down forward. Bank (A/D) to turn quicker and learn to hover by finding the sweet spot where the heli totally flat. nose up too when landing/descending to slow descent speed (decelerate button). On attacking runs dont dip down too steep or you wont be able to pull out of it and crash!!! You'll get it. Also find a good gunner and try to fly slow and steady over targets for them to shoot. Dont fly too low though or your a sitting duck!!

Planes - learn to handle the speed!!! stay in the map zone. use toggle (1/2) for bombs/missiles. watch your air speed or you'll stall and crash. Take off use back button after youve picked up enough speed on the runway. go slower over home base runway to refuel/health etc. practise bombing bases in single player.

        have fun in the skies!!!!

oh but the best tip for flying a jet is when u hear the lock..just pull up and hit afterburners (shift/sprint key) and just go straight upmost likely ull loose them...and dont always hold down ur accelerate key...go around 850km/hr cuz its most likely that theyll go over u

For a guy (me) that sucked at flying anything in the other BF games, I have actually found its quite easy to blow crap up and down with a plane. The best jet has to be the Su-30. Its insanely fast for a bomber and I have outlasted F-35s and F-18s in it.

One thing that works for me is if your stupid or brave enough fly very low, and I mean like less than 40ft above the ground. When you get a lock when flying that low, hit the afterburners and go striaght up. After that reposition so your going straight down and hit the afterburners, make sure you have enough room to pull up and you should lose the jet thats behind if if there are tall structures around or mountains.
