Is there a way to turn off the nametags?

Me and a bunch of my friends are going to make a video, the only problem is we have to turn off the nametags. In the BF2 editor, there is a command that says


renderer.drawnameTags <variable>


meaning that if i type


renderer.drawnameTags 0

that should turn off the nametags, but in any game i try it in, it tells me that command isn't allowed. drawfps 1/0 and drawhud 1/0 work great. And I know that there are no nametags if you use battlerecorder, but we don't have a dedicaed server.

So my question is, is there any other way to disable the nametags?

i dont think you can turn them off..well i havent been able to find it..there was a realism mod for bf2 that does it but im not sure what other ways u can do it

let me know if you can turn them off. I'd turn off all the enemy names that way if I see a name it's friendly. No name = shoot the crap out of it

And it would make the snipers job a lot easier too, as you wouldn't spot them anymore...
