    I want a straight answer.

If you know you dont want to tell or you have to lie, then dont. I want some honest answers here, and If there are no negative answers I know someone has lied.

Do you judge people by scores or ratios? Do you judge the weight or opinions or accusations by the scores or ratios of the person?

Re: I want a straight answer.

    ofcourse they do.

worse k:d than you is an idiot that should be ignored.
equal k:d to you is an idiot that got lucky and should be ignored.
better k:d than you is an idiot that gets revived alot and should be ignored.

lower overall score is an idiot that should be ignored.
higher overall score is an idiot that only plays in armour/jets/choppers.

glasseye, you are nothing but a forum spammer, who whines and complains at any post he can, because you have nothing better to do.

You really need to get a life i'm afraid, as most people are fed up of you on here.

And before you try to come back with some stupid comment, don't. It just makes you look stupid.

I don't mind glasseye posting, I just look at the picture of Scarlet. :)

As to the topic question. I rarely look up a person's stats when they post something unless it DIRECTLY relates to something in their post or I need it to clarify it.

However, I couldn't care less how many points they have or their K/D ratio because there are so many factors involved in those stats that it is oversimplification to look at someone's stats quickly and then determine how good they are.

BTW, my stats say I suck and I suck. So it applies there. :)

i judge by how a player plays in game...people are always so quick to assume by looking at numbers...however stat padders are usually obvious..AND SHOULD BE SHOT!

Re: I want a straight answer.

Actually, I think here glasseye made a pretty effective post in regards to commonly observed behaviour between in-game and forum 'expressions of opinion.' There are a lot of people who are a little *too* likely to stick to their guns about something, and there are also a lot of people who will dismiss anyone not agreeing with them for the exact reasons he posted. If you've read this board at all you *know* it is true.

Personally, I try to judge people on what they are currently doing at the time they are expressing an opinion or making an accusation. Everyone has good days, everyone has bad days, and sometimes the best/smartest players aren't out for as much for personal score as they are for seing "You Win!" when the round is over.

I personally don't because I don't go looking up every posters stats... The ones with thier stats in thier sig, I barely even glance at thier sig, let alone weigh out thier K/D ratio...

Do you just mean in the forums or in game?

In forums, I dont care. In the game, obviously the higher rank people are better to follow. It's true they might suck, but with all the time they put into the game, it's unlikely they're worse than a lower rank.

I have a high rank and k/d.. and I play infantry almost all the time. I do play chopper a lot, but infantry a lot more. I guess that means I'm god's gift to BF2.

Re: I want a straight answer.

                    depending on the post.

When someone has a score of like 2000 points over 100hours and K/D ratio of 0.01 , and he starts whining over the point system of some weapons that aren't acurate, well , I will tell him the problem is him.

And some time ago the leader in killing posted here, he had like 35000 kills or something, real good K/D ratio, and was whining over the kits and most of the reply's where that he was an idiot.

What I want to say is, if you have something intresting to say, it does not mather how long you play the game, or how many points, kills, .... you have

but if you start about, I want this changed in the game like many posts here (they want more points for this and that, they want those weapons stronger more acurate, they want those vehicles to be better and other ones out the game) , but if you look at there stats and they have only played for 25hours , or just realy suck hard at the game, do we have to take those people serious ? NO , because if you practice some more and play the game some more, you will notive you find many things more balanced then you where thinking in the beginning

If someone does something stupid, they deserve the title stupid. Don't really care if their K ratio is consistantly 1:20 or 5,000:1 There are morons from every skill and score level (those have to be seperated since the ranking system isn't a direct relationship to skill), and likewise there are people with good intentions who don't really play all that well but are always willing to help out the team. It's usually apparent who the idiots are ingame anyway (TK'ing rampantly, C4'ing your vehicles, TK'ing for vehicles/climbing on your vehicle to cause you to TK just because they want the vehicle, etc).

Re: I want a straight answer.

I dont judge peeps ingame on their rank or stats. Stats can sometimes show you if a player is good ingame but not necessarily. And frankly I dont give a damn about someones stats except my own, even if hes on the top of the leaderboards. Ok for me if someones statpadding his ass off - it wont hurt my score does it?

I judge on playing style, if its teamwork oriented (ie pick up the medic kit of a fallen medic and revive him if one has the chance - that sort of stuff) its ok with me.

As for the forum posts, its all about constructive criticism, if you havent got anything to say except "stfu noob" dont post.

                        regards,

I dont give a rat$ a$$ to tell yah the truth, its actions that i usually judge someone on, not opinion or something as lame as stats k/d ratios. Ingame its the way they play.., but even then everyone has a bad round here and there.
I should know  but then ive come across gamers who've called me lame the way i play.

"judge lest thy be judged thyself" or something equally as philosophical lol

Re: I want a straight answer.

Players are hard to judge by deaths. Am I a bad player if I get trashed a lot of times by artillery? Am I a bad player if I meet a apc on a dark alley? Am I a bad player if I get shot in back?

These are regular questions on my behalf. Death is easy to get even how good are you. You will always die, but when your better you start avoiding it. You dont try to kill a sniper when spec op, you dont try to assault a nade laucher.

But the thing is. Mistakes are part of life. Skill is to learn from then. Learning process never ends or stops or goes backwards. Good players learn fast, lesser learn slow.

This is just a point of view. Nothing schooling or whining. Just looking world of game and respect at this side of my boat.

Stat's are for fun, I don't pay much attention to them on the boards or in-game, it doesn't proove the skill of the player.
