Cache and performance

I recently cleaned out my cache in BF2 and my load times sped up incredibly. Is this normal?

Yes, we have been preaching this for a while

Once you have your settings all set up the way you like it, delete your cache. Load the game and load a map or 3 to regenerate the cache. Then defrag.

how do you delete the cache? Is it just somthing in the system directory for the game?

With my gfx card anything that imporves performance is a good thing :)

my game started running like ass, so i tried cleaning out the cache and reoptimizing the shaders and the result was an instant, noticable performance increase.
