    Soundcards and Teamspeak

I just started using Teamspeak and was getting frustrated with the volume levels (couldn't hear anyone while in a tank), so this is what I did:

I have a soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS hooked up to some Logitech surround speakers. My motherboard has an onboard Realtek soundcard which I had disabled. I enabled the Realtek and hooked up a headset to it, and switched Teamspeak to use the Realtek while BF2 uses the surround sound. End result, radio chatter in the headset, emersive game sound all around, freaking awesome.

Except my wife says my headset looks like Madonna's.

I've been doing the same thing for months when playing Counter-Strike: Source with my clan :p

So yah, its not that original an idea, but awesome nevertheless - works wonders!

I was pretty sure I wasn't the first to do it, but I figured it might inspire someone who hasn't to get out an old sound card and try it. I'm promoting recycling!
