Can anyone tell me what the Rising Star category in the Leaderboards is for? i don't really get it...thanks.

Well Rising Star usually refers to somebody who has been improving exceptionally well as-of-late... Not sure if its the same sort of thing for the EA ranks though.

I was around 17000 on rising star, I was quite impressed to be honest and gave myself a big shiny medal

It could be possible, as it only takes 1 or 2 seconds to kill someone with the knife and then the person switches back to rifle.
So in theory, the amount of time, is only the moment when you draw and use the knife.

You only take 1 second to kill someone with the knife, then you go back to rifle. That is why the time used, will be low.
Anyway, it was a theory.

It's for the noobs, so that they can ranked high at some thing.... It would easy to get on. Just start a new profile and score 1 point on a ranked server. Wait till you have been ranked then proceed to play for a full day preferably "point whore" as much as you can. For a full day of playing you should get at least 1,000 points, that a %100,000. That should get you frist place :).....

i think rising star is to do with people's weekly scores but theres something missing. i cant figure out exactly how its worked out
