Auto-login?

Well I just reformatted my comp and a problem I had after I first installed the game months ago seems to have reared its ugly head again.

After I login under my account name, the game seems to try and automatically connect to some random server. I want this to stop. After I log in, i'd like to look at the server list and actually pick the server I want to play on. :)

I managed to fix this before, but I can't remember for the life of me what I had to do (nor find it anywhere else)...

Can somebody please help?

Are you clicking the "Play BF2 Online Now!" icon instead of "Play Battlefield 2"?

Using the first one will connect you to a random server.

It isn't random. It basically looks for the lowest ping server that is available and has people playing on it. If you setup filters, I believe it will follow that and connect you to the first server that meets the criteria and is under a certain ping.

Yeah, it's common. There are 2 icons on your desktop. Don't click "Play BF2 Online", actually delete that one and just use the BF2 icon.
