That is a bug. It happens on our server quite often. We have a policy to kick those who don't post reasons for starting a vote so we always have to check if someone is breaking the rules or it's just this bug.

We get some funny comments when the bug occurs to an admin, like "you must be nuts to try a kick vote against someone on their own server" etc. Annoying but hopefully it will be yet another thing corrected in the patch.

i have noticed that i've a kick vote is initiated only to read that I acutally started it...go figure

I have noticed something about bogus kick votes. As I wanted to play on Dragon valley map, I refreshed my serverbrowser about every 10 seconds. Suddenly a 19/20 server comes up(meaning somebody left that server, as "Not full" is checked. I connect, and as soon as I joined, and spawned I see a message: "Flatline_hun initaiated kick vote agaist XXX". I said WTF? The guy asked: why do you want to kick me too? I said it's a bug, I have no problem with him. (checked the scoreboard he was the first player on the opposing team) He said that there was a guy on my team who wanted to vote him out several times, 'cos he killed him repeatedly. He gave up, and disconnected. Here is is! Apparently if someone is initiating a kick vote, and disconnects while the vote is still running, and someone connects in his place, the server will initiate a NEW kickvote in the name of the newly joined guy. As a programmer, I see this is some strange referencing problem, and hopefully will be patched in 1.03.

I think a kick-vote should only require 50%. But only after they fix this bug :)

I've noticed this bug too. Everyone that joined the server called a vote on the same guy. The guy was freakin out on everyone..lol.

yeah i thought that the kick vote system just doesn't work. Nobodie ever votes. I have certainly never seen a sucessful kickvote.

Yes - been voted out. Was told it was to make room for clan mates. Also - have seen it work on gun/knife servers the brief time I spent on there.

Last night was the fastest kick I have ever seen. Must have been that someone left the server before a successful kick and I took his place. As soon as I loaded and clicked join I got bumped back into the menu. It said you have been kicked by a successful vote for excessive teamkills or bad behavior - something like that.

I did not even have time to see the splash screen after I clicked "join" - lol.

Nope. Not even a guy who had -230 points. Some of the opposing team did not bother to vote, some voted intentionally NOT TO KICK HIM.
It ruined the whole game, so I wrote up those guys names, and switched team, and harassed them until they disconnected. Did not feel much better, tho. Only slightly. They ruined our game, I ruined their.... but I did not get back that 20 minutes of cursing nor the several deaths nor minus points...

Last night I was on Dalian Plant, owning the skies in the J-10 and the other team started a kick vote against me. It got up to 12 votes

Question: Where do you initiate a kick vote? I've looked before, but never found where.

I got kicked off a ranked pistol server last night because I "didn't show the clan members proper respect." Well.... I reported their server to EA for stat padding. MUHAHAHAHAH!

the other day on a 40 player map, this same guy was trying REALLY hard to kick me...
Every time it got to 6 votes... I think the same 6 people were voting... lol
I didnt TK anyone... but my score was really bad... I had 10 deaths 4 kills...
ussually i do better... closer to 1:1 KD ratio... but i was just sucking ass that night... but WHO CARES!!! i cant believe they would kick someone for not doing well...
totally stupid people ...

So first, you go to a server which EA has made clear are against game ethics, and pad away, then after you can't use their server to cheat some more you rapport them?

..How low can you go..
