I was flying a plane and I had a lock on this enemy plane while turing. I fired and I got 7 team kills and got kicked.

Did my rockets miss their target and hit the ground killing my allies or what?!

I don't know how much damage AA weapons do to ground targets but it must have been alot.

This game makes most people get team kills and damage...


Oh and can I hook up my older sound card to my new pc so I can use my joystick?

Can I have two sound cards in one pc and just disable whichever one I'm not using?

it probably went for a friendly blackhawk, happens all the time, i always use guns when theres friendly aircraft i nthe area.

No, I am all but 100% sure you cant. If I recall somewhere in the release notes/files it states that the game does not allow joysticks hooked through soundcards. I may be wrong but I am pretty sure this was the game that mentioned it. I think you are limited to a USB stick.

It sure sounds like that's what happened.. damn pain in the ass, that's for sure..

There's a strong possibility that whatever you hit was already damaged, because I don't believe that 1 missile (TV guided excluded) will destroy anything at full strength.. 7 kills sounds like a loaded BH..

There's some glitches on the games, this is one of them, hopefully they will all get fix in .3

It happens with all the AA stuff. I have shot 2 AA missiles from a stinger at a heli hovering ~100m away, the missiles headed straight for it until they were just feet away, then they proceeded to turn sharply 90 degrees and head straight for a friendly chopper, wtf...

My copilot in the F-15 locked onto a ground target with the TV missile once and it found a loaded blackhawk on the way down, that was kinda funny.

But yeah, the missiles are rather stupid. They have a delay and a max angle at which they can target other things, which obviously needs tweaked. The delay should be lowered so they follow the target better, and the angle lessed to reduce the chance of a TK. Or just find a way to make the missile only go toward whatever it FIRST locks onto (IE: What you locked onto from the seat of the AA or plane).

I just played Oman, 15 kills, 1 death, and about 8 pts...

due to: shooting down 2 friendly helos when locked on to enemy plane.... awesome!!!!

p.s. - also due to not checking the map when one of our bases was neutralised and bombing the **** out of around 5 friendly vehicles... around -10 team vehicle damage!!! :)

I did read (in the readme?) that gameport joysticks were not supported but my MS Precision Pro worked fine through my SBLive gameport without any fiddling. They might just have found it to be iffy and decided to disavow gameport support in general. Of course some people seem to find they don't support the use of $400 video cards either

On some sound cards you can disable the sound but leave the gameport active, if you want to use the port on the soundcard but the current sound.

YAY I got it to work. And I did pretty well ****ing enemy aircraft off by keeping on their tails.

But I messed up and got lost outside the map boarder and died.

Happens all the time maby they droped flares right when out of your sight and the missiles went for a full BH always happens with me thats why i dont fly often only gunner in an F-15.

I just got my air defence ribbon last night, staying in stingers with more than 11 kills .But yes, it's so easy to get tks/team vehicle damage with AA/stinger, unless there's no air force at your side. Sometimes my SMART missles just ignore the locked on target staight ahead , instead they find them the long and hard way to hit a friendly.
