Server Admins kicking people on blackhawks...

Are the server admins allowed to kick people because someone else is flying a balckhawk or sitting in the gunner seat rather than themselves, or is this a new ruled that is allowed?

Cause this happened to me.

Exactly... server admins can kick whoever they please. Whether or not it is "right" is an entirely different story, altogether.

The quick answer would be NO, I am an admin at Whitefalcons.com and would say just move servers or join a clan and play with people who trust and like you

I got kicked last night for being in a blackhawk supposedly point farming. The admins just happened to be on the other team also. I'm not a fan to having weird rules on ranked servers even if it is their own server. Same thing like knife only servers or whatever. Do it on unranked servers.

I hope the patch makes it better so we can just play without having to worry about made up rules.

At least the 1.03 patch will fix the BH whoring.

For anyone who doesnt get it yet:

Until you pay the $100+ a month it costs to operate your own server you are a guest and as such you are going to play by the rules setup by the server operators. I'm an admin for a 20 player ranked server and I also enjoy this so called "blackhawk whoring". Its a great time to be on a good crew with decent engineers and gunners. God forbid teamwork in BF2 someone else on the other team might have to work with someone else to bring down an effective blackhawk squad. If you took the same 5 people it takes to fill a blackhawk and loaded up in vodniks and humvs you could down the chopper in under 10 seconds. If youre the one man army type just whip out an eyrx and put one in the wheel. Its a one shot kill. Even if you miss that blackhawk pilot will not stick around for the second rocket. People quit bitching and work together.

I'd just find another server, and not go back to that one ever. things like that (their poor sportsmanship) will, over time, leave them with an empty server. contrarily, good servers always fill up and stay filled up during peak gamin hours.

If you are talking about unranked servers this is all fine. If you are talking about ranked servers this is all BS. If your "rules" involve anything that make it easier for you to score points then you are stat-padding. Your clan should be banned from running a ranked server and you should all be reset.

Well you said it, it is their server, so, just move along and dont play there again, not much you can do about it. I know some admins do over use the power, but hey nothing i can do about it. Suck it up and carry on.

Well said! These people apparantly have more money then Brains, cause if I was forking out the bucks for Ranked server I would want it to stay full ALL the time. Give it time & they will be paying for an empty or half full server. Too many really good servers that are well run & don't put up with the BS children crap to spent any time in the ignorantly run one. Rock On!
