Probably. The coded limit for squads is 6 people. There's another thread around here where someone had two squad leaders. Then also you'll get the red nametag bug where a friendly will show up as an enemy and often times the reverse is true, where an enemy will show up as a friendly. It's possible that the bug you're talking about is closely related to one of those bugs.

Heh yeah, one time on Sharqi one of my teammates had the red tag bug. He was showing up as a blip on our UAV and I saw something prone and moving in the bushes in that direction, and no blue dots anywhere near me. I opened up with my G3. I was punished for a teamkill.
