    No server list

I have a small problem, Monday I had a list of servers, as of tuesday nothing. I have checked the router, checked the firewall settings and disabled it. I have no problem direct ip connecting so I am puzzled and slightly annoyed, any thoughts anyone.

    Cheers.

Press anything in the browser, server whipped out till you restart.

    SUCKS.

Only thing you can press is the "Refresh", any other whipes the server list clean until you restart .

Have you tried bypassing the router/firewall and connecting directly to the dsl/cable modem. This will help narrow down the problem.

The server browser is a steaming pile of turd. Don't apply filters, refresh or update the server list unless it's completly updated on it's own. Even then do it at your own risk. I think the only thing that works on there is the sorting? It's pretty neat how you can check off "Not Full" and get a bunch of full servers too. I dread the times when the 1 server I play on is full and I have to search for one that A) works B) isn't full and C) has VOIP that actually works

          I get a full browser, only the 1st time. If I refresh I get a blank screen...always.

However, I have discovered that by checking any of the filter boxes, the list will populate once again....

Until v1.03 don't mess with your settings. It causes the server list to not respond. The in-game browser is extremely buggy. EA insists on using GameSpy, which is perhaps the most in-efficient game finder out there. Clearly they cannot impliment it in-game properly. Almost every game they have that uses it has in-game server finding problems. A wise descion for them would be to use something with a cleaner much simpler code, OR to make a "basic" template and then customize the graphics to fit the game.

Thanks for the replies guys, removing the netgear modem/router and using another cured it, waiting on netgear now to find out why.

Most often, they will advise a firmware update.
