Boost control key????

Just a quick question, I have searched for this on the forums, but with no luck,

In the control options in the game, you can specify a key to do a boost of some kind on land vehicles.
My question is this, what does it do? if anything, or is it another feature dice removed from the game prior to shipping, cause they couldnt get it working.

You can only use that after you've unlocked the NOS.

As far as i know , the only boost is the afterburner in the jets. If you hold the shift key it will hit the afterburner.

Yeah, you gotta unlock some nitrous, as well as a turbo and whatnot, just joking. EA/Dice was going to put it in, but they didn't just another thing they didn't give us that they promised, it's there along with BFTV (no, it's not the same as BF recorder) nightvision, laser designator, binoculars, and all that stuff. The video previews that we saw were like 10 times better than how the game is now, they better add those into the expansion pack.

Yeah i didnt think that there was the feature in game, as it didnt seem to do anything when pressed, guessed it was like leaving a buggy on the us base on operation clean sweep with no way of getting it to the island, originally intened for use with the LCAC hovercraft that they couldnt get working, but still left the buggy there.
"Boost feature not in game, but hey let leave the key in the controls to keep um guessing" hehe.

so thats why the hovercraft isn't in the game! I WANT THE HOVERCRAFT!

Also, is there actually a submarine ANYWHERE in BF1942? either i'm not looking hard enough or its right staring at me in the face. I must know!

Maybe they were intending you to use the boost in the DPV with a big ramp to jump over to the mainland...

I have yet to find one. I've narrowed down where it is, though. I know it's NOT in Berlin, Market Garden, or Battle of the Bulge.

its for mods like jet powered.. i run it every once and a while adds jumpjets to all the vehicles... fun mod..

It's on the pacific maps. It's a one man sub only though. If you're the first one to spawn there, you get to move underwater and temporarily destroy the enemy ships with your torpedoes. I was never in a sub either, i'm going to install BF1942 and try once my damn PSU comes in.

Half of that stuff is still in the game like civalian veh. There just half way done. The Target des is done and other stuff is in there also. Just go looking

I know, it's in the ini somewhere, but it's not implemented into the game. Plus BFTV is like 100 times better than BF recorder, BF recorder, you have to download the tape of the server, BFTV, you could tape whenever you want, regardless of if the server has has the feature. Because BF recorder is activated by servers, BFTV is activated by yourself.
