I know some people have said there is a bug that when they switch over to TV mode - sometimes the camera is facing the wrong way. The reason they think this is they see the barrel of the gun in the tv view mode.
The reason this happens is the camera is mounted to the right of the machine gun. When you look to the right with the gun, then switch to TV - the barrel is in your view.
I felt like an idiot when I figured this one out. Thought I would add some screenshots to show what I was talking about.
In flight it can be confusing - especially if your pilot happens to strafe when this happens (makes it look like the gun is facing and moving forward and you are looking left at the terrain going by).
