Hey, i bought battlefield 2 and i can only paly it on low even on multiplayer i can only play it on low withour lag, but its wierd cause i can play games like half-life 2, farcry, etc on full with no lag wat so ever. so wat is going on here>?

system specs:

Nvidia Palit GeForce 6200 256mb AGP
Intel Pentium 4 1.8 GHz
60 GB HDD
1 GB DDR RAM
512KB/s adsl

bf2 is a crazy resource hog. b/w hog too. main weakpoint in your system is your processor.

i mean bf2 needs more resources/gaming power (ie gfx cards, ram, etc) than it should for the end results. the only way to fix it would be dice fixing it.

b/w = bandwith. bf2 uses alot of that too.

No one knows. But we do know your processor is preventing you from running the game with higher settings, regardless of how they optimize it in the 1.03 patch.

They are claiming to have some optimizations in the new patch.

Btw...you have a 6200 or a 6800 video card?

get a better processor.. Nvidia has a bunch of patches specificaly for BF2.. thats why u should always stick to ATI

i dont want to get into the whole ATI vs nvidia thing. so let me just say that the ppl you hear that from are living in the past and are probably of questionable mental stability.

that 1.8 is damn close to their minimum requirements... spend the $100 or so on a faster processor and you'll be in much better shape... The gig of ram and vid card are fine, another gig wouldnt help, but its not your main problem...
