Re: How to use a joystick
Here you go, make sure you have your game device (joystick) setup on your cpu first. Go into BF2 go to options go to controls chose the vehical type you want to control with the joystick.
Example aircrafts pitch:
Select "pitch forward" delete the default mapings (primary and alternate) by hitting the escape button. Once cleared reselect pitch forward and move the joystick in the direction you want to pitch forward. NOTE: Moveing the stick oppsite way will invert the axis. Repeat for the other axis's you want to use.
Buttons:
Two ways to do this. First is mapping the button to the control in game as above. Second program the joystick (not all joksticks come with software to do this) for the default key bindings. I like the second cause you can use the key board and joystick buttons at the same time but it can be problematic you have to use another program while playing the game.
Finally go in to the game and see how you like the setup.........Comment

does not apply but nice, just a note dual-cores do not help in app's like BF2. I would go with a AMD 4000+ plays BF2 better and saves you a grand. Use the money you saved for SLI 7800gtxOriginally posted by AquilaPhasmas
