when ever i try to start a custom map in singleplayer, like Medina City, after the maps loads, the game crashes to desktop, with no error message.

It sounds like an .ini file problem or something simular. Wait for the patch, hopefully it will clear this up.Comment

custom maps aren't playable in single player.
there is no editor for single player so the bots don't have any instructions (called ai pathfinding) of where to go on the map.
Until ea release a single player editor there won't be any custom single player maps made. (this is also the reason why bots on modded 32 or 64 player maps still use 16 player map areas and not the full size of the map)Comment
