Demoted?

The weirdest thing just happened to me. I am a corporal (my score is around 16.000), but when playing on a server just now I was listed in the score screen as a private. I couldn't use my two unlocks either. I checked my BFHQ in-game and all my stats were there, i.e. there was nothing wrong. I quit the game and restarted and still everything normal in BFHQ. Has anyone else encountered this yet?

Was it an unranked server? I've never played unranked but I have played on a ranked server where my unlock was not available. Didn't notice if my rank showed up or not.

When you join a server, the server querries the EA stat server for your current stats and award info. That way it knows when to show you the image and text that you've gained an award or whatnot. This is also how it knows which unlocks to allow you to use.

When the stat server is being lagged, the query returns a null answer. By default, the game server will assume that your scores are all 0, and you have no awards. You are also a Private. Note that you will be getting basic awards and ribbons again in that game, though they won't count.

Always check your BFHQ when logging in. Make sure your points and rank show up before going into a server.
