Weapon Skin not working

I am having a problem with the M4 skin I made. I went and edited the M4 file labeled USRIF_m4_c, put it in my mod, and it worked fine in FP view. Then when I went to BF recorder the gun looks no different. What file do I have to edit in order to have the same skin appear to people viewing the player in game. That way the bots appear to also have the Moded M4 Skin.



will this texture be the same on everymap?

Umm as a weapon skinner ill tell you if you were trying to make desert camo then thats pretty fugly. You should make your base metal, and fiddle around with the color balance and brightness to get a good tan going, and then apply like a light clouds layer...thats the way i do it. Unfortunately no

The question here isn't whether my gun looks like crap or not (its at a stage where I made it and wanted to implant it and make sure it worked.) and it hasn't fully worked. The guns skin works fine in First person view but to everyone else and everyone around you with an M4 my new SKIN is not applied onto the weapon. It's as if nothing was done to it and it looks completly the same.

How do you edit and apply your skins in BF2?? Did I edit the right file?

i believe that theres a 3rd person texture file for the m4, same goes with all the other weapons im sure....just search around for a low rez file of that weapon and edit that, hope that helps :P

you know what I think I know the one now. I'll make sure when I go home in 3 hours and Ill update this post
