    Ambient Sound in a map...

Ok, I've read how it is done according to one guy, saying you have to unpack the common.client and common.server files, and move your sounds into objects/objects/sound.....(if you know what this is, then continue reading)

This doesn't seem to work however when I run the game on a server, and futhermore it's just all guesswork for me right now. I have noticed by loading EA maps into the editor that they are linking the ambient sound area with files that seem to follow a different path than the one you get when you try the above method. Their sound files are under something like "common/levelambients/*level_name*/*soundfile* or something along those lines. Could somebody please do the following if able:

Tell me what I have to do so that when i play on a server with my custom map, the sound i heard in the editor is there.

? Thanks, if you know the answer to this...

Yar, A detailed explaination of Ambient sounds would be a great tutorial if anyone has the time and know-how. If you happen to have any luck with this topic please drop a line Wendigo, seems this is a topic less discussed from what I've read on a few forums.

If you have packaged allready and it dont work: test your sound first on local server ingame, then, when you get it working, copy your ambientobjects file into the server archive. Just like the undergrowth - only this time it goes into server and not client.
