Does destroying assets count as a kill?

Title speaks for itself really - if I destroy an asset using C4 does it register as a kill? Having trouble hitting 13 explosives kills so immobile targets might help

Heres something to try..
Hit tab.
Look @ your kills.
Blow up the opposing commanders "assets".
Hit tab
Look @ your kills.
Put a star on your monitor and eat a lollypop for doing a good job.

If you were a little too close to the commanders "assets" when you blew them up and managed kill yourself, repeat the above steps until desired results are achieved..

That's a negative on points for assets, you will once patch 1.03 comes out.

I knew it didn't give points but wasn't sure about kills
and I could try myself but
a) I'm at work
b) Plenty of others have played this more than I and might know
c) Thought people might genuinely want to be helpful

in 1.03 you will get 1 point for every asset you kill (1 for radar 1 for satellite) but im not sure if you get 1 point for each artillery gun, or 1 point for 2 artillery guns, or 1 point for 3 artillery guns.

i've read EA stating you will get points, where did you get these exact numbers?

so do asset 'kills' count toward the explosives badge then?

No, they don't, and I somewhat doubt they will in the patch, as that would be far too easy to exploit to get the expert badge. Most likely they will just be teamwork points and not kills, as you need kills for the badges.
