Randomest post you'll ever see but heres the story:
Playing BF2 at my friends house and its Gulf of Oman (my fav map) and I spawn on the carrier and travel below decks to try out the old RIB. I took of course two team mates with me. One freeshot and one gunner and we took off towards land. We kinda rode around the southern shore and decided that nobody really attacks the water units so we figured why not teach them a lesson about watching the waterways so we drive right up that little river that goes just south of the MEC main base.
About half way there at the second bridge a crossing MEC support spots us and starts firing. My gunner is ripping up the bridge (he really sucked im just giving him a bit of credit) and i see the MEC go down but no kill message. I slow down so we are basically drifting and my freeshooter lobs a nade rite up on there...BOOM! No kill? Its then that I see the MEC standing on the shore in front and to the right of us, detonator in hand. I step on it like "SH*t SH*T SH*T SH*T" and he blows the bridge RIGHT behind us and all the concrete and crap falls and our RIBs down to like 4 bars and the guy starts pot shotting us wit his MG. The freeshooter turns around to get a good shot and BAM! Lucky headshot courtesy of the MEC. I switch places with my friend for gunner and mow him down but little did we know he had called for reinforcemens.
I said I'd take over gunning and my friend drove us down the rest of the river and right before we got to the little bay at the MEC base a chopper drops out of nowhere behind us. Once again..."SH*t SH*T SH*T SH*T" Then the most incredible thing...one shot off the rib MG goes rite through the pilots window and apparently embeds itself in his brain. Chopper is down and we continue to dismount the RIB on the shore and blow the MEC arty and scanner.
It was the most awesomest experience in a RIB ever. We continued to plague the MEC bastards until we were ended by a well placed shot off a bridge by a tank. Gratz to whoever did that because they were moving while they did it too. :laugh::laugh::laugh:
