5/10 an average mod made by idiots.

i would have liked to see the maps darker so it was harder cos vanilla is way too easy. You can still see too much if you ask me. Other than that its ok!

Next time release it to a decent download site - the first one sucked!
And don't be complete jackasses to the sites trying to help you get more ppl to download your mod!
Some ppl are just born stupid!

Finally got this mod to run on my Linux dedicated box. The read me with the Linux server files is way out. As well as the command line parameters to start the server.

Anyway it's running now so add another server to the list:
XR8D :: BF2 Nights Server

Tip: When searching for a server type %bf2 nights to list all servers running this mod.

Dude its their first release, give em a break, they still have to fix a few bugs here and there, dont need to go head over heels here. :)

i got no probs with a first release but the bs they pulled on http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29149 and on their homepage was way ott and out of order.

The actual lead dev of the mod put in alot of work and I think he has done a good job. BF2UN helped with the alpha and beta testing, and hosted interviews with the lead developer, but did not actually make the mod.

Ive had major problems getting this mod to work its possibly the worst mod ive ever come across and getting to work is a hassle, when every other mod in bf2 works and bf2 works this fails. Anyway here is whats happened so far.

Cannot Find BF2.EXE ( or one of its components) make sure all
filenames and shortcuts are correct...
Dont have any problems with any of the other mods, and the shortcut direction is correct.

Same problem here... even when I try to start the mod from inside of BF2...

Try copying your BF2 shortcut, pasting it to wherever you can find it, right click on it and open properties. In the target box add this - "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/bf2nights

Still having problems with this mod the above fix works to get it loaded but, it loads the server ive chosen and it wont let me click the join game thing in the bottom right hand corner... it then kicks me back to the server listing :::: This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Revert your version of Battlefield 2 to the current official version to join:: I have tried to join any server listed with the bf2 night mod, with me running it and still no go, what happened to plug and play with this stuff grre up :p

Jolt.co.uk will be putting up a server in the next day or two. I'll post the IP once it's up.

Found out Jolt already has a BF2 Nights server up. :)

LOL you are joking?

Most BF2 nights servers have BF2 Nights in the server name. But most also have a clan tag or other text in front of that.

In BF2 % acts as a wild card so %bf2 nights will list:
xyz :: BF2 Nights server
Uber - BF2 Nights server
Our clan rocks <> BF2 Nights server
ETC

Without using the wild card you would find it hard to just list those servers. Try it and see.
