Well lets say i dont mind the minimum ofcourse, but i think the maximum would have to be 120/130 .. i dont really like to spend more on a lame card.

I hate to be a nay sayer but look at the specs so you can see what I mean about not being much of an upgrade:

GeForce FX 5600 NVIDIA NV31 DX 9 325/550 128-bit 4x1 pixel pipelines

Radeon 9600 ATI RV350 DX 9 325/400 128-bit 4x1 pixel pipelines

I know the ATI card above plays the game better but the specs are so close. My lowly 9700 Pro has good performance and decent game setting because it has 8 pixel pipelines and a 256 bit memory interface to it's 128MB of memory.

I would look at some reviews and see if others are happy with their nvidia 6600 series of cards. Those and perhaps a good deal on a 256 bit ATI 9800 Pro would be the best choices.

i dont even think the shaders for your card are supported in bf2. i have an x800pro agp and things run pretty smooth. i would suggest getting a 6800gt because of the 16 pipelines but an x800pro will run pretty nice.

Okay so i might get a new card. I already kinda found a very good one.

Asus Radeon 9600 Pro 256MB

Now i wonder, would this one work with BattleField2? I know its Asus but its deffinatelly better then ATI.

NeroAngelo, that card above is an ATI card. Think of ATI and Nvidia as chipset manufacturers, then they sell the good stuff on to ASUS, Pine, Sparkle, Hercules, Legend, Aopen and all those other companies who then then the card together and sell it. Most of the those companies don't even do too much to the cards other than put them together and sell them to the wholesalers, who then sell to retailers then to customers.

But i know that some companies like Hercules, and some others put a lot of effort into the cards and tweak and add extras to make them **** all over the exact same chipset cards put together by the others such as Sparkler or Pine, dont think Asus do too much.

I would highly recommend a Nvidia based card such as 6600GT or 6800GT, I have a 6600GT retailing in my workplace now for just under $300. So you should be able to find them online much cheaper as there is such a chain from manufacturers to end user.

If you do buy the card that you suggested in your other post, you won't be going forwards by much, and you would have just wasted your money to just get a few more FPS, why not spend a lil bit more and be satisfied with everything. much better value for money that way.

Okay.. since the 9800 isnt being sold here since last year i had to look for somthing else.I got advice to buy myself a ASUS A9550GE/TD 256MB DDR AGP8X. It was in the BF2 list so thats alright, but will it be worth it to buy it? Just checking what you guys think

read the reviews and benchmarks yourself, but that exact model is not listed as the card makers change the specs to much, usually lower for more profit says Tom,

All the cards around that model is pretty score fairly low.
I would go for Nvidia over ATI as they seem more reliable and better value, less bugs. As i said before and others said, go for nvidia 6800GT, you wll be impressed.

Ofcourse i would be impressed.. but as i stated before im seriously not gonna spend 319- bucks on a vid card.. come on, be realistic.
