C4 & Command Assets

I've been experimenting with Special Ops and using C4 to blow up command assets (like the radar tower), however I noticed something really weird recently. I blew up the radar tower and it respawned immediately (within 30 seconds). This was on a single player server with generic settings. Then I noticed that it took 2 points away from me each time I blew it up. So this raised some questions. The radar tower was the enemy's, not my teams. We had taken the base but the radar tower had the enemy flag on it. I was the commander for my team and got the message that a radar tower had just been destroyed, so it seems like we took over their radar tower even though it had an enemy flag painted on the side of it.

When you take the enemy base near enemy commander's assets, do they switch to your side? Should you not blow them up at that point?

If they still belong to the enemy commander, why am I getting docked two points each time I blow them up? No one was nearby or died.

Thanks for the help. I'm trying to figure this all out so I don't mess up online.

It doesn't tell you when the other team's assets have been destroyed man. It only says when your stuff has been destroyed. Best bet is that you thought you were on the other team

No, I was on the other team. I kept spawning at a base with a US flag.

So, does the stuff switch sides to your team when you take the nearby flag or does it always stay on the other team?

Also, why did it respawn in about 20 seconds? That seems very weird to me.

it don't switch sides, CO assets are allways locked in place.

could have been repaired with a crate or sumfing.. or an engineer you didn't see. if you hear and see your team lost an asset at the exact same time you took out that type of asset I would start asking myself some serious questions though..

I was watching for crates. There were none. I camped right next to it trying to figure it out. Must have been some weird glitch. I even went back to my base and blew mine up. Got the same message.

I agree about the serious questions. That's what bothered me.

OK. I'll just chalk it up to a glitch then. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing here.
