    Help plez ppl, bf2 wont run!!

    Hey guyz. I Installed BF2 and that went fine. Then i get an error message when loading that says d3dx9_25.dll not found or sumthing. I fixed that by downloading the file and blah blah blah. So i try to run the game again. It comes up with a black screen and then goes back to my desktop...I try reinstalling it, fix the eror problem. Run it again, the SAME THING HAPPEND. What the hell do i do?... Plez help!!!!:cry:

    have you tried installing new graphic card drivers

      My graphics card driver is a 9700 ATI it should be fine for the game. Shouldnt it??

        Maybe but every card has to update drivers. go to ati's homepage and get new drivers if you haven't already.

            That looks like a direct x file try reinstalling direct x

              If this file is missing, it's mostly caused by an old DirectX installation. You need the latest update (9.0c) of DirectX, which is located on the Battlefield disk at Z:\directx\dxsetup.exe (replace Z). Install it, reboot and it should work.

              Sometimes, caused by distortion of the time line, alies or whatever, this file is not installed even if you have the latest DirectX update. Even if it's generally not a good idea to mix up dlls, you can even download that file (and others) here:


              Download it, put in in your %WINDIR%\System32\ directory and bf2 should run.

              p.s.: don't reinstall directx before you tried my trick. I had the same problem on an other pc and could solve it this way. If you don't know how to uninstall / revert your DirectX installation you could really break your system.
