Bombs have timer?

I was just messing around in a local game on cleansweep, to practise some bombruns with the su-34 and checking where bombs actually land etc.
Well, at a certain point i was flying at approximately 600ft and i dropped the bombs and jumped out of the plane and skydived right behind them (pretty cool to watch), and suddenly in mid-air they just blew up in the same order as they were dropped. I was numerous feet away from the boms so i didn't trigger them.. so i guess dropping bombs from a high(er) altitude is kinda pointless.

yup.. 3 times, but the first time i was awfully close to a bomb and i died from the blast. But the other two times i didn't even received damage from the bombs so i was certainly at some distance

yes they all have crono. after a certain time in the air (maybe 10sec i dont know) they explode. so drop your 5 bomb not from 600ft but when diving from 600ft and let them go at 250 where the ennemy wont see you.
