Total number of BF2 players?

Does anyone have any idea how many ranked players there are in total for BF2?

The reason I ask is I had heard it was circa 2 million worldwide, so when I saw my rank was around 189,000 I was a little surprised - that would put me on the top 10% of players and I've only logged about 2 days worth of play so far...

i heard that BF2 just broke the million sales point. so how can there be 2 million ranked players????

Meh, numbers are academic. I'd rather have half a million (fairly) educated, (fairly) sensible players than two million complete and utter morons *cough cs?*

multiple account and the fact that they figure 30 % of the players downloaded the game.. i know i did then i got myself a vaalid cd key and away i went.

plus it costs money to have a ranked server. when u refresh ur list if u havent noticed thers a good 8000 servers total in 1.02 and only 1400 - 1600 are ranked.
