PB Problem Mabye, I don't know

When i join a ranked server (haven't tried unranked yet) I get a CTD when it says Varifing Client Data. It's making me mad, I updated PB and still no avail. Please help. Thanks.

i would guess one port that punkbuster uses is blocked, just a guess though!

Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3300+
1GB RAM
ATI Radeon 9600se 128MB (Hey, it works, I still need a new one)

MAke sure all of your drivers....video, sound, and motherboard, are up to date.

Try re-installing the game now that the drivers are all current. Completely uninstall everything, including the folder in your "My Documents" folder.

I will assume your NIC card is onboard, so the motherboard drivers should have taken care of that, although double check to make sure.

Also try updating punkbuster manually via the instructions on www.evenbalance.com, or re-run it to make sure you have the most current version.

CTDs usually are related to driver errors (according to EA atleast).

Worked, I've been enjoying BF2 with much higher specs and speeds now.

You don't want to know my old specs. *shudders*

No problem. BF2 is quarky that way.
