    BF2 and Fraps

Anyone else use Fraps for screen capture to make movies? Is anyone else having a problem? I can't get it to work.. I download it, install it, configure the settings the way I want it, minimize it to tray, run BF2, hit the hot key F9 to begin recording a movie while messing around in a local multiplayer game doing a few stunts, hit F9 again to stop recording (I assume it does this), quit game, return to desktop, navigate to where the movie should be saved aaannnddd.. nothing. I tried changing the hot key to something else like Numpad * and still nothing. I then try to take a movie of just messing around on my desktop. Nothing. Screenshots? Nothing. What the hell.. why isn't this thing working??

    My computer specs are..

ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256 MB
    Pentium 4
    3.0 GHZ
    2 GB RAM
    225 GB HDD
    Windows XP

hm it works fine for me. =o
usually you'll know when its recording cuz it gets a little choppy, but it sounds like your doing everything correctly. :hmm:

The thing is.. it's not recording anything.. at all. I'll hit the hot key to record and the program acts like it's not even programmed to record! It just sits there, no hang ups, no nothing, just sits there like I never told it to do anything.

No number even appears. It's as if the program isn't even meant to record.

Try to capture the files on another Physically Harddrive(NOT C).. Fraps is pumpin out massive Data. i installed my Fraps on my X: Drive...set the FPS down and it works. not well, but it works.

other hint. get a second pc with a TV card in it. connect the pcs and the Software from the 2nd PC is capturing the media with highest performance. Hardwareencoded..perfect..

              regards

                what version do you have?
i had 2.0.0 and it didn't work with Bf2, but now i've got the latest version and it works properly.
