    engineer land mines

Um.. they are messed up. I was like 10ft away from one and it blew me up. No there wasn't any other land mine around me cause when I went back the one that was 10 ft away from me was gone.
Yet I can have a tank roll over my land mine twice and not blow up. gj ea... not!

Apparently the mine is like a donut. Going on either side will blow you up, but rolling over it keeps you totally safe.

I've also noticed that mines take a while to activate.

I layed a mine right behind a T90 and he rolled over it and nothing.

Then he came back over without turning or anything and it exploded.

Yet another lame thing about this game..

Nothing like laying down a mine behind a tank, only to watch him back over it and you, then watch as he takes the flag. :shakehead

The AT Land mine has a 2.7 second activation , just like the real thing . Would be kind of stupid if u could just trow em and blow up stuff you know.

What's fun is to lay them UNDER tanks and run away, then someone gets in and BOOM!! ROFFLE on a WAFFLE

What's even better is to toss them on top of helicopters... They get in, spool up, then as soon as they go to take off.. BOOM... They're also fun to place on runways... you can line 3 or 4 up on the runway and take out the next 6-8 bomber campers in a row!

ya man, in urban maps at mines are an extremely effective weapon if used right. i plant them in the back of humvees, on top of vodniks, on the back of helis, on top of planes haha its almost like urban terrorism or guerilla sabotage. cuz the vehicles cant be moved if the mines are placed right. i think i mastered the placement and sabotaging of them though haha.

engineer class has more uses than people think. :box:

Yeah, then it'd be like the broken C4 lameness.

Say, how do you toss them on TOP of a chopper?

                    Thanks,

you can either place them on the blades (before they start rotating)

                      or

the area just under the rotating part, where its level enough to place one. (the more effective place imo, as the the mine can sometimes just fall off the blade when it starts.)

                      give it a try.
