Yeah, I know it will run with less.. but I have a dozen machines
here at home and at work, and I have several of the TOP video cards..
What I have found on all of my machines is that when I bump up the
ram to 1.5GB on any of them BF2 problems that existed before, go away..
I had bad stuttering on 2 of my main pcs that I used for gaming.. using
the ati x800xl/256 and the other nvidia 6800GT/256.. tried everything..
new drivers, old drivers, formatted HD, reinstalled fresh, nothing helped..
Most of my PCS have 1GB 3200... as soon as I bumped both of those
PCs up to 1.5GB all those problems went away.. I have since bumped up
my best pc up to 3GB just to make damn sure it has plenty of resources
and there is a big noticable load time differance, as well as a solid video
improvement.. I have installed BF2 on many machines, and 1.5GB Ram
seems to be the 'sweet spot'..
I think BF2 should come with a stick of 512MB... :)
