I need help with my battlefield: When i enter a map from the Map Pack 1, it load very good but when its verifying client data it returns to windows and shuttingdown battlefield? whats wrong

i suppose you could try re-downloading it - the file may have become corrupted?

I have the same problem when I try to play these maps (Mappack 1, 2 or 3) as a single player. I can only assume that they are not for single player mode.

Mappack 1 also installs differently to the other two mappacks, i.e. 1 installs to the 'Levels' directory where as 2 and 3 install to the root of the BF2 directory, is there a reason for that?

I don't know the reason for the difference but if the maps aren't in a levels directory they won't be playable.

Yup found that just after I posted, it is odd that they appear as 'single player' maps from within the game though - there's no indication that they are not playable which is confusing. While I like BF2 its this sort of behaviour that could put some players off, hopefully they will fix that for BF2142 (along with the excessively long loading times), anyway thanks for the reply.

I did a check and they all end up in the same place, looks like they used different scripts for 2 & 3.

What can't you see? The map pack is at the download links in the first post. It's 120MB so no one is going to mail it to you.

Could you use this maps in mods for the makers?
Dose the makers accept that I'm using the maps in a Mod my clan is making?
