hmm. I can say somewhat u are right nad somewhat u are wrong. Yes flying is not good with mouse cause it's not supposed to be. But there are many problems with the online games right now. Hackers and piraters. Glitches are nothing compaired to what i have been through. I have played BF2 online in robot mode and have gotten top scores. Robot mode is lag. Basically same difference. But yeah u cant blaime the mouse for flying, cause the mouse is the way u look when ur infintry. Yeah i have 2 piece joystick that costs like $60, the Saitek X45. The Saitek X52 is $129.99 good luck tring to get that one. I really much perfer X45 for $60 if u can get it. But also being in 2 piece u need to hold it down to the desk or something other wise u are going to have one hell of a time. I have velcrow under mine so it is strapped to the desk. This is the best setup for flying in the game.

You really shouldn't come to the forum and totally rip on the game that it's for. That's just stupid really. That's like walking into a supermarket and buying all there products, the whole time saying: "Oh man, this place is ****in ****house."

Just because you've never experienced a bug doesn't mean they don't exist.

I never said they didn't exist, I'm just saying that unless your PC is old as dirt, or unless you are doing something very wrong (Hardware-wise, software-wise), you should be having the same experience as I'm having - with very, very few bugs.

What a Joke Battlefield 2 is. Nobody is playing the game, Nobody wants to. Battlefield 2 is just another half ass game like Battlefield Vietnam. The Command Keys Suck... You can't setup the mouse to fly choppers they way they are supposed to be. No Coop Mode. and for those you waiting for the 1.03 patch, don't waste your time. look at what happened to Battlefield Vietnam... they couldn't fix it, so they released the World War II Mod to shut everyone up, and in the the game still runs like ****, and still crashes. EA Abandon it. Now I know you all aint gonna listen, and just make up excuses, and defend EA, but look who gets suckered in to spending $50 to play for a ****ty ass game that dont eve work right. EA Can't Even come out with their own game.. they copied DesertCombat... DesertCombat Existed Long Before Battlefield 2 Was ever even thought of... No Wonder Everyone still Plays it..

I disagree. Yes it has had several bugs, but they seem to be clearing up as time goes on. And I'm a fussy one, believe me.

Nobody is playing the game? Pfft. Practically everyone I know is playing BF2, after dropping the CS:S atrocity, now I'd never go back to CS, it's boring as hell. ( and actually looks dated now).

BF2 is not perfect, but I can put up with software shortcomings more than crappy player attitudes, which has much more negative impact on the game then anything else.

Bugs? What bugs?

I've only had the nametag bug occur one time. And before I upgraded to the X800 XL I had the crash-to-desktop bug (with my 9800 PRO), but not anymore. Since my upgrade, I've honestly yet to witness a single bug.

I also have no connection issues. My ping is always 40-80. Never have any connection errors... I've had one or two problems with slow stat updates, but the servers hosting the stats are to blame, not EA themselves.

- Nametag bug exists,
- Also another infrequent bug is the detonation of C4's made by an already dead player.
- Another bug is the delayed throwing of a grenade. Someone will shoot you as you release your grenade but you dont, and it will appear on their screen some 2 seconds later only to explode.
- Another bug is the invincibility bug, where you seem like you keep shooting him, but he doesn't die unelss you run him over.


Connectivity issues are always core engine problems.

The servers I go to have excellent connections, and more importantly I ping around 20. But the blunt fact is I get disconnected for connection issues. Such issues occur when miscommunication between client and server happens due to the engine's poor optimization.

I have spoken with EA about connection issues and they've specifically stated their working on fixing it. They specifically said, no redundant code was included in the original BF2, due to the rushed release of BF2. They specifically stated they'll be adding redundant packet creating classes and functions to prevent any miscommunication or corrupt packets.

Connection issues are not usually a result of the servers banwidth. If it was it would be recorded as a packet loss, and you'd simply get a jerky motion on your PC. Connection issues have to do with corrupt packets, which by all mean is engine side.

Even though BF2 employ's a unique engine to allow 64 players, it simply does not have any safeguard backups for the communication.
