Poll time! Those medal hours and points are, well, ridiculous. Who's going to play for 10,000 hours for a medal thats really only for personal satisfaction. They should at least give you an unlock or something. How long will it take: a decade??!!!

Re: Should EA lower the requirements for medals?
They really messed up them requirements. I think they just slapped those on there last minute, not really thinking about how stupid it looks. I mean a game that rewards time spent is really not a game a lot of people would be interested. I mean MMoRPGS are good at that but FPS? Meh

no one is ever going to play 1 game for 10 thousand hours.

Re: Should EA lower the requirements for medals?
I personally think they should reset the limit to 1,000 hours for the hardest medal and lower for the rest. It'll keep the interst up inthe game if you think you can realistically get the things!!! COme on EA add the new limits in a patch. 1.03 maybe??? You want to get it right, eh?!!

Re: Should EA lower the requirements for medals?
I wish it was more skill based requirements rather than time. Anyone can get 10,000 hours played and 40,000 plane kills if they play the game for long enough. I wish they were more skill based. Maybe like a smaller time requirement for the Airplane medal, like 150 hours in a plane but require like 90 plane kills in 1 round and at least 20 vehicle kils while in a plane. Something that requires a person to be a good pilot instead of just fly a plane for a long ass time. This will also solve people's argument that if they lower the medal reqs than everyone will have the medal.

Good point fibbis and this also makes the game more enjoyable and satisfying.

Re: Should EA lower the requirements for medals?
I suppose the time earned medals are to reflect real life service medals though. Hence my point about EA revising the medal requirements to fit online gameplay. More thought, more fun!!!! then you feel you're really working towrds something in stead of just clock watching.

Re: Should EA lower the requirements for medals?
I'm almost positive that I've played CS longer than that. This is only because it is one of the most addictive games I will probably ever play. But that amount of time for 1 medal? Out of like 20? Ridiculous is an understatement. This was a poor atempt to bring longevity to the game.no one is ever going to play 1 game for 10 thousand hours.

Re: Should EA lower the requirements for medals?
they should lower the hours and points. I guess the reason the hours are so high cause its gonna take time to get those points. Ive got 1 basic badge to go and thats the explosive badge (lol dont know y i dont have it) and i got them from just playing not trying to get the badges

Re: Should EA lower the requirements for medals?
Well I dont think time should be that great. The Medal of Valor and the Navy Cross are awarded to soldiers who perform outstandingly during battle. Perhaps making the requirement non-time based but instead heavily skill based.
E.g. Navy Cross (by definition you have to be in a position where your life is at risk, yada, yada, yada): Kill - x - number of people in a round with 0 deaths, with close range rifles such as the carbines, assault rifles, etc. Though due to stat padding it'll make the medal easy to reach which would require EA fixing some things.

Re: Should EA lower the requirements for medals?
Yes. I realize EA's trying to make money off of server rentals, but come on.
OR, they could introduce a bunch of medals with lower time requirements. But I guess we're meant to work on the badges in the meantime.
