weird new problem

i was playing like usual one day and all of a sudden my computer turns off.. this happens sometimes due to really short power losses.. i only see a blink in the light but the comp turns off... anyway.. when i turn on BF2 again it works fine until i get into a server and see the spawn window.. now i cant move the mouse and i cant do anything with the keyboard, except minimizing the game or alt-f4 the game.. i tried to press all buttons i could find to see if i pressed something weird but nothing helps.. then i tried to reinstall the game but i still have the same problem..

have any1 any idea of what this could be? im like 200 points from the next lvl and this happens.. goddamitt..

nevermind.. after the second reinstall it worked..

It wasnt the install. The power outage screwed the interface card and the capacitors took that long to cool down.

Actually, BF2 lost your configuration. All you needed to do was reset the controls to their defaults, and re-enter your custom buttons (if you had any).

hmm.. i didnt check if the controls were missing at the beginning, but after the first reinstall i looked and saw all controlls were blank.. i thought screw it and tried to start a singleplayer map, but couldnt move the mouse..

now i know then :P

Yes, if the "Restore to Default" button in-game doesn't work you just have to go into your My Documents folder and reset it manually by coping the defaul profiles controls.con into your profile.
