I was trying to make an account for my friend so he could play Battlefield 2 on an account of his own, and he wanted the controls set up the same as how I did. I would have thought that it would have been easier if the game would just copy everything from my profile over to his so I wouldn't have to set everything up all over again, but that would have been too easy. So I went in to set the controls up, and when I tried to bind Left Shift to Crouch, it said Duplicate key found in land controls, then in air, then in helicopter. One problem. There is no key bound to left shift in Helicopter controls albiet it says there is... VERY NEAT. I guess this is a bug that came with the 1.02 patch because I never had a problem setting up my controls with the 1.0 which they've been the same since the release. Is there any way to fix this problem by editing control files of some sort? I've tried but there are tons of files in lots of folders all marked "Custom" or "Default" with no real direction to what they are used for specifically. The file structure of this game is very sloppy and it seems like they didn't clean up unused files. Oh well, any help? Thanks.

Re: Not able to map to leftshift
Goto your profile folder:
My Documents > Battlefield 2 > Profiles > 00XX (where XX is the number profile, usually the top profile listed in the game, is 01, etc, etc).
Copy the "controls.con" file and paste it into your friends (or make a copy and send it via e-mail, whatever). Walla, if all has gone to plan, and he has all the same periprials (joystick, etc). he should have the same controls you do.
