Does anyone know how to stop a server getting loaded up right after I sign in to my BF2 account.

Stop using the 'PLAY BF2 ONLINE NOW' shortcut/icon.

Just use the regular 'Battlefield 2' shortcut.

It was afaik.
The "Play BF2 online now!" link starts the game and then ocnnects to a random ranked server, whereas the regular shortsut starts the game, signs you in and then takes you to the main game menu.
