Most of the MEC weapons are superior?

It seems that MEC gets by far the best deal in the game when it comes to the hand-held kitweapons. The only one that is hands down inferior is the AK-74 for spec ops.

Worse: AK-74

Superior: PP-19, AK-101, RPK-47

Subjective: Saiga12k, SVD

The AK-74 has a tiny bit more damage than the M4 and QBZ, but has terrible accuracy and recovery.
The PP-19 is identical to the MP5 but has 15 more bullets so is hands down better.
The AK-101 is probably the best rifle in the game, accurate, powerful and full auto.
The RPK-47 is more accurate and does more damage, ROF is hardly an issue.
I think the Saiga12k is better than the pumps as well, because you can empty a clip of powerful shells in the time it takes to fire one shot from the pumps. And the SVD is one of the guns that takes a hell of a lot of rubbish from newbie crane-snipers, because they don't understand it you have to play it more like an assault rifle.

I like the MEC weapons also, but at long range the M16 will beat them, the 4 burst shots are so effective in use you can kill from a mile away.

At close range, the full burst of the AK's is better, even the 74 will rock hell.

But the major thing I loe about the AK weapons (call me an idiot) is the sound and the reload animation, much cooler then the gay sounds of the US weapons

The thing about the AK-101 loading animations is that the guy uses the same 2 clips throughout the entire game! Anyone else find that a little strange?:laugh:

i agree that most MEC guns are superior except for the Saiga12k and the SVD.
The Saiga12k is the worst shotgun in my opinion, you literally have to shoot someone in the face from 3 feet away to kill in one shot, the USA shotgun on the otherhand owns as far as damage and range goes, though it does have a slower reload time.
the SVD is a good gun, but is completely blown away by the M24, great accuracy and damage, with a little extra time between shots for reloading, it is a true snipers weapon, you cant spam with it like you can with the SVD or type 88 (type 88 sucks btw)

Umm, the AKS-74U, is way better than the QBZ or M4, of course in BFHQ it says it has less accuracy, but I can do medium snipes with it just as easy with the M4/QBZ, so the extra damage, is worth it, thus makes it a way better gun.

Not just the guns of the MEC are good, all of MEC is good, I can't stand being USMC or PLA.

I like the distance of the m16 and the auto rate of fire on the AK, so for me it's a toss up.

I agree with Swanston. I really like the sight and the midrange accuracy of it. I have no problem with the shotgun either. If you get close it does the trick.

IMO, the MEC weapons are mostly all short range, because they have the AK101, the Saiga 12k, which is deadly if you would actually use it like how you use a DAO-12, you just tap as fast as possible. And SVD is still great for shorter ranges, as you can just tap the button as fast as you want. I think USMC is long range because they got a M16A2, a m24, and the M4. THe PLA is inbetween, it has the AK47, which is the best default AR for close range (G3 beats it). And they also got the Type88 sniper rifle, but they have the most accurate default Assault Carbine, the QBZ-97 (the G36C is more accurate). SO it's all a matter of balance, i don't really care, i just own everybody with the G36C, i don't care unless the map is one sided and has one team with an uncappable, but the other team doesn't.
