    Wth????

So today I played everything maxed out with fps not lower then 34. Before I played everything on medium and got the same fps30-50. The only thing that changed was that i went from 800x600when i played on medium to 1024xsomething when i switched to high. I always taught that the higher the resolution on a game the more stress to the videocard, is this not true? I just never played on 1024x because the text look all blurry, why!!?

on newer cards higher resolutions are better actualy. so at 800x600 it was stressing your card. i went from 1024x768 to 1280x960 and i got like 40 fps with 4xaa on.

could also be your CPU .

Your CPU could be a bottleneck for your system, he is the one that limits your system on 30-50 fps, not the vid card.

On a 800*600 res with lower settings, the CPU is at max, but the vid card had way more power over, setting the resolution higher and some settings won't ask more power from the CPU but only from the GPU , meaning your FPS is exactly the same as on lower settings, you just weren't using your vid card for 100%

Auto-adjust your LCD, sounds like the resolution is funny. Of you can force 1280x1024 via the shortcut.

But the 1280x960 does look kinda screwy on some screens.
