Memory.dll- Sanity check etc (Error)

Been playing BF2 since release NPs, machine not changed at all, then this afternoon I played a map left to eat my dinner tryed rejoining a game and about at 62% loading the map I now get.

memory.dll:Sanity check:Block size -59738850 (4039.03mb) doesn't seem sane

As I said not changed a thing in the computer and BF2 did run fine.

Please don't ask me to use search as i did and it came up with loads of posts nothing to do with my problem.

Machine Specs:

AMD 3000+ Barton
2x80Gig Sata
2Gig DDR3200 Duel channel memory
Galaxy Glacier 6800GT 256meg DDR
8x8DVDrw pioneer

Reinstalled, re patched and the problem went away, thanks for your reply, and the PC's mother said "Well what you expect the father was a hair drier"... :P

At least others will know how to fix the problem now. :)

The "Memory Sanity" error seems to be being caused by Serial-ATA drives not having the correct motherboard drivers installed. Please check your drivers if you are having this problem. If you are getting the Memory Sanity error pop up and do not have SATA please let us know.

I get this error, but only as commander, and only sometimes, i just click continue and go back to the game, it only seems to come up on really huge maps, like fushes pass 64 player.

If you have a VIA chipset, make sure you install the VIA Hyperion Pro drivers and not the VIA Hyperion 4in1 drivers.
