    Can't launch BF2 (DVD)

Hi, for several weeks now I have the problem that I cannot launch BF2.
When I bought BF2 I used a different DVD Drive, and it worked perfectly, unfortunately this DVD Drive died now, so I'm using a older DVD Drive. When I try to launch the game, the booting BF2 Screen comes up, but it stays there, and nothing happens. After a while I get a error message "please enter the correct bf2 dvd etc etc" and my DVD Drive suddenly disappears from the Devices. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me.

The DVD Drive is the ARTEC DHI-G40, and im using the ASUS P4P800-VM Motherboard.

The DVD version is perfect, though a Artec DVD drive is far from perfect. I suggest to return that thing and get yourself a descent DVD player, if you care about money as well I suggest a NEC.

I had same problem with an OLD dvd drive, had to buy a new one to get the game to install. The old one just wouldn't read it.
