L8, PKM, or G3?

I'm about 1,000 points away from Corporal and can't decide which to get. My squad needs a Medic, but I don't know if the L8 is worth getting. The stock weapons are decent for medic so I'm not sure if it's worth the unlock.

I've planned on unlocking the PKM once I get to Corporal for a while, but the G3 is so powerful and accurate. The only thing I don't like about it is the 20 round clip.

if you play as a medic a lot, the L85 will be a worthwhile upgrade, believe me. But if you don't play as medic for most of the time, it isn't really worth it.

The G3A3 is nice and powerful, but the 20round clip makes it worthless in a close up battle. but great for medium ranges. (but what is the point if you are an Assault class and you aren't doing any assaulting because your weapon is pants!) stick with the normal assualt weapons.

Dont get the G3. If you play medic a lot, get the L85.

I"ve got the G3 and I suggest you get something else. The L85 is nice, but weak. While the PKM has lots of stopping potential.

Depends, the L85 is horrible for a medic, but great as a weapon, instead of healing and reviving in the heat of battle, you'll be picking off guys on a rooftop, while you should be healing and reviving, mayb on maps like Kubra Dam it might be good because not many short range firefights, but on maps like Karkand, ain't too good, it sux in CQC because of the recoil, it's worse than the AK47 IMO. The PKM is good if you get the jump on somebody, one shot to the body and they'll start thinking that somebody sniped em, but you have to fire in bursts, it's a good weapon. The G3, has 2 major drawbacks, 20 round mags, and no GL. But if you don't like GLs than it's great, only problem is you can be a medic, with no GL, but has grenades, and can also heal and revive. So that's another problem as well. But it's great on single shot, one shot to the head, they're dead, and it looks cool, as well as a distinctive sound of the weapon. It owns in CQC, it's a good allround weapon.

The pkm isn't exactly spectacular, although it has a good sound, it's mainly a "headshot me here, i am prone!" weapon...but you can get a little streak from time to time when the foe doesn't know where you are. that said, you can certainly be sure to get the attention of enemies when you fire this, which can be useful if some of your mates are advancing...but more often than not they just kill you first then kill said mates



If you play as medic often, then yeah the L85a1 can be useful for long range maps, but really the AK-101 is better in medium/short range (i.e. karkand styled maps) imo

i have the l85 and the g3, the g3 in prone position is deadly no matter what range, but after you kill about 1 guy you have to reload so pretty much youve got 5 kills then your dead. the l85 is nice for no matter where you are, plus you are a medic so you can save your team, i personally would rather use the l85 over the g3 and i used to like the PKM but i picked it up one time and i could not get anything. my suggestion is that you download the demo and make it so you have all unlocks so that way you can expirement

The L8 is the best unlock as far as being better than its kit's default weapon, IMO. Using its scope and single-burst mode is deadly.

The G3 is also very good (if you can live without a grenade launcher), as it is powerful as well as accurate.

However, seeing that your squad needs a medic, the L8 would be the best bet IMO.

As a medic you have to expect some cqc when you go after killed teammates and in that situation I would not use the L85. It was my first unlock and after I used it for a while I just forgot about it and went back to the AK or M16.

Actually, I would much prefer the L85 in those types of situations over the M16 since the L85 has full-auto capabilities.

The L85A1 on full auto is absolutely shat, even right up close. I dont understand why and how a gun can be brilliantly accurate on single shot, but terribly inaccurate when you fire in bursts and on full auto.

YEah, that's what kills te L85, the damn recoil.
